Proprietary Technical Indicators

The most forward looking of our signals are constructed utilizing technical and volatility indicators. These indicators are extremely powerful tools that often signal a paradigm shift before the fundamentals have a chance to flow through. What makes Focus Point’s technical models different, and ultimately more powerful than most off the shelf models, is that they combine both trend following and mean reverting indicators packaged together. In addition our proprietary indicators judge inflection points based upon velocity and acceleration of technical indicators so we are able to gauge the relative strength or weakness of a signal prior to most models which rely upon absolute levels. As with all of our processes we utilize Complex Adaptive System Theory to sort through an array of signals and combine components into systems to designed to provide robust results.
